Explorer 700 Series Model SDR256
True Space Diversity Receiver
With 256 pre-programmed frequencies. |
The Micron Explorer
is designed for today’s crowded spectrum
space, with a broad bandwidth space of 32Mhz and
frequency agility, and ensuring high quality performance
with great flexibility in operation for film crews,
and sound recordist. True Space Diversity.
The Micron Explorer SDR256 receiver are true space
diversity in design, employing two independent receiver
sections and as such, when the circuits are combined
the receiver will automatically reject the weakest
signal, while the other receiver half will latched
onto the strongest signal giving dramatically improved
performance ( this is when compared with older conventional
non-diversity or antenna diversity receiver designs,)
The other distink advantage of a true space diversity
receiver is its better overall area coverage elimating
the old age problem of drop-outs and dead spots during
production takes, also when a receiver capatures
a signal of similar feild strength , this will results
in improved lower signal to noise ratio. Easy to use.
From the top panel you can see at a glance which
diversiy receiver section is working via the green
A & B lamps, other features include the RX tri
-colour battery warning lamps that change colour
when the battery is near the end of it’s life
cycle, also there is a trimable pre-set audio level
output the operates between mic and line and a secure
on/off switch. |
|
Powering is made easy.
Micron is a true space diversity receiver, available
at a modest cost, designed for use in situations
where receiver size and weight are at a premium,
the SDR256 maintains absolute integrity in terms
of overall quality, performance and reliability
Also for your convince the audio output is variable
high-level can be set for mic or line operation.
The tri-colour LED display on the top panel provides
continuous information on battery status, while
the two tri-colour LED’s above each
Offering excellent standards of RF performance,
the SDR256 features multiple RF stages to give
out-standing sensitivity and selectivity, while
the digitally controlled circuitry achieves optimum
mobile operation with greater flexibility.
|
The receiver’s antenna LED display
shows which of the receiver half is active which
continuously monitors the RF signal strength. A secure
on-off switch on the top panel is provided while
powering can be by either internal battery or by
an external powering interface cable using a Micron
AOCPH-HR4 cable.
The unique noise reduction system provides trouble-free
operation in low RF signal situations, and even in
hostile RF environments.
The SDR256 uses the same unique Micron battery
compartment design, which enables quick and simple
battery replacement,
together with the Explorer’s overall strength
and durability.
MICRON Explorer SDR receivers are true space
diversity designs, delivering 2 independent receiver
sections from separate antennaes combining circuits
automatically and rejecting the weakest signal,
giving a dramatic improvement to dead spots (signal
drop-outs. ) when compared to a conventional (non-diversity
or an antenna diversity receiver designs ). If
signals of similar strength are received together
the receiver audio output is mixed together to
improve the signal to noise ratio even further.
