R21D MicroSun |
The new MicroSun marks the beginning
of a new era in ENG lighting. The camera-mounted luminaire
offers sensational luminous efficiency. It consumes
less power for its light output than any other fixture
in its class. By comparison, a tungsten fixture with
daylight filters would consume seven times more power
to achieve the same light output. The output is kept
at the specified 21 Watts regardless of battery voltage
or supply fluctuations.
Thanks to its extra wide supply
voltage range from 9 to 36 volts it can be powered
not only from your camera battery but also on cars,
bus, truck or boat supplies, and even 30 Volt batteries
used for the larger portable HMI fixtures. The low
thermal conductivity of the plastic housing ensures
that even after hours of operation you can still touch
the fixture. The low heat output ensures that colour
gels inserted in the gelframe won’t melt away,
as they do in most tungsten fixtures. The double hinge
stirrup gives you maximum positioning flexibility,
whether used onboard your camera or on a lighting stand.

Microsun advantages at
a glance.
- Integrated ballast, allowing the luminare
to be connected directly to camera
- Flicker-Free Lumination
- Countinuous focussing in a range of 1:6
- Double hinge stirrup for flexible positioning
- Luminaire output is independent of the battery
voltage
- Wide range of supply voltages
- Low battery warning when the battery voltage
drops below 11volts.
- Completely silent, allowing it to be operated
next to the microphone
- Housing made of high-impact plastic with
low thermal conductivity
- Luminare can be grasped with bare hands
even after operating for many hours.
